What to build

Every Handoff on a Device with a Bridge drives the Bridge: handing off away from the Device sends RELEASE (link kept, so keys and battery keep working), and a Handoff to the Device sends CLAIM. A Bridge streams even silence, so closing the Device's Output (ADR 0009) does not free a multipoint headset; without this, a manual Handoff PC → phone leaves the headset on the Bridge.

See ADR 0026.

Acceptance criteria

  • Manual Handoff PC → phone with a multipoint headset: the Bridge goes to STANDBY and the headset plays the phone
  • Handoff phone → PC: the Bridge is claimed and the headset plays the PC again
  • An abandoned Handoff (receiver not ready) leaves the Bridge claimed
  • Without a Bridge Plugin installed, Handoff behaves exactly as before
  • Core tests cover release/claim around Handoff with a fixture Bridge

Implemented on integration branch automatic-handoff (merge fbe64b9), with code-review fixes in merge fcc0d8d. Lands on main when that branch is pushed and merged.
